In 2008 we introduced a new category – Advanced Student, ideal for dancers wanting to enter the competition, but not wanting to enter against their own teacher.
There were 11 regional heats, and an online heat for those who had not qualified at their heat to have a second chance.
A core panel of judges provided consistency in marking at all heats: Jo Ford (Pole Play), Fay Warne (Poletastic), Anne Goswell (Goeswell), Genevieve Moody (The Flying Studio), Miranda Hodgkin (Bradford Pole Fitness).
International judges for the online heat were: Alena Downs (Pole Junkies – Canada) and Mary Ellyn Weissman (Empowerment Through Exotic Dance – USA)
